Our Team
Our work is led by a small, focused team with experience in investigative research, media, and case analysis. Every case is handled directly by us, from initial review through final delivery, ensuring consistency, attention to detail, and a clear understanding of the full scope of the work.
Neeli Faulkner
Neeli Faulkner leads investigative case research at Murder Creek Media, focusing on wrongful convictions and unresolved cases. Her work centers on analyzing case files, identifying gaps in existing narratives, and building clear, structured timelines.
Whitney Scapecchi
Whitney works alongside Neeli in leading case research and analysis. Her work focuses on reviewing records, identifying key details, and helping build a clear, organized understanding of each case through structured research and thoughtful evaluation.
Monica McFry
Monica serves as the Intake Coordinator, managing initial case submissions and ensuring all information is organized before review. She plays a key role in the early stages of each case, helping create a smooth and structured intake process.
How It Works
Submit Your Case
You send us the background, documentation, and any details you have. This is a no-cost first step. There's no charge for submitting a case for review.
Review & Fit Assessment
We read through what you've submitted to determine whether your case is a good fit for our process and current capacity. Not every case is accepted. If we're not the right fit, we'll tell you.

Scope & Proposal
If we move forward, we define exactly what the work will include: which package fits, what's in and out of scope, the price, and the estimated timeline. Nothing begins until this is agreed on in writing, so there are no surprises later.
Active Research
This is the bulk of the work. Records are pulled, reports and existing materials are reviewed, timelines are built, and witness outreach is conducted. Everything is documented as we go, not reconstructed at the end.
Final Case File Delivery
You receive a complete, organized case file: a clear timeline, all supporting materials, a written summary of findings, and an honest look at where things stand , including what's still unresolved and what potential next steps might look like.
Service Packages
We approach each case individually, with scope and pricing based on the level of research needed to move it forward in a meaningful way.
Tier 1 - Case Research and Consultation
$450
A focused, structured review of what you already have — reports, records, prior findings — to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and where attention is most needed. You'll receive a written assessment and a clear recommendation on next steps, including whether a full investigation (Tier 2 or 3) is likely to add real value to your case.
Tier 2 - Standard Case Research
$2,500
Full intake and evaluation, followed by structured research and analysis across all available information. Reports, timelines, and records are reviewed in detail, supported by targeted OSINT research, with everything organized into a clear, usable case file. Includes witness interviews when appropriate.
You receive a complete case file: organized materials, a timeline, a summary of findings, and insight into potential next steps.
Tier 3 - Comprehensive Case Research
$3,500
Everything in Tier 2, scaled for cases that need deeper, multi-source work — cold cases with years of scattered records, multiple jurisdictions, or a large number of people connected to the case. Includes a full advanced timeline with mapping built in as part of the core scope, not as an add-on.
Additional Services
Additional services are available based on the needs of the case. All work is scoped and approved in advance.
FOIA/Records Requests
$150 - $500 per agency
Drafting and submitting formal records requests, along with tracking responses and organizing any materials received.

Witness outreach and interviews, when conducted, are voluntary.
Participation is at the discretion of the individual, and all interactions are handled with transparency and care.

We do not take custody of physical evidence. Any materials or information provided by clients or third parties remain their responsibility and should be directed to appropriate authorities or legal representatives when necessary.

Not all cases are accepted. Each submission is reviewed to determine whether it is a good fit for our process and scope of work.
